3/4 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 cups flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 cups applesauce
1 cup raisins
1 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar in bowl. In another bowl, sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg together then add to shortening-sugar mixture. Add applesauce and mix all. Add nuts and raisins last. Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 1 hour.
