5 lbs. red potatoes
1 lb. bacon
1/3 cup flour
Water (approx. 1 pt.)
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 large white onion

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes (with skin on) for approx. one hour. Take off heat when almost cooked through. Remove from water and let cool. When cool, chop or cut up potatoes and set aside. Cut up bacon in 1 inch cubes and fry not real crisp. Drain excess bacon fat. Leave about 1/4 cup fat. Add flour and stir. Add water slowly stirring all of the time. Add vinegar and sugar. Let simmer. Cut onion into small pieces and add to the rest. Let cook for 3 5 minutes. Pour mixture over potatoes.
