1/2 c. butter, softened
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 (3.5 oz.) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
3-1/2 c. milk
1 (12 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
32 oz. chocolate sandwich cookies with cream filling (i.e., Oreos)

Directions:
Directions:
Chop cookies very fine in food processor. The white frosting will disappear.

Mix butter, cream cheese and sugar in a bowl. In a large bowl mix milk and pudding. When well blended, fold in whipped topping. Combine pudding mixture with the cream cheese mixture.

Layer the two mixtures in Styrofoam or Dixie cups, beginning with cookie crumbs, then cream mixture. Repeat layers, ending with cookies. Chill until ready to serve.

Add gummy worms poking out of the "dirt", and add an artificial flower from the craft store.

For a potluck conversation piece/dessert, purchase new, medium sized clay flower pot. Line with plastic wrap. Layer cookie mixture and cream mixture as described above. Poke in an artificial flower or two, add a few gummy worms, and use a new, freshly washed garden trowel to use as the serving spoon.

This is so much fun, and an unexpected dessert when served on April Fool's Day! (Or on the day when Clearlake, CA has its famous Worm Races.)
