Ingredients:  
Slice 6-8 apples into buttered 1-1/2 quart baking dish.
Pour 1/2 cup water and 3/4 tsp. cinnamon over them.
Work together 1 cup sugar, 3/4 cup flour and 7 Tbsp. softened butter until crumbly.
Spread over apples and bake uncovered until top is brown, about 45 minutes at 350.
8x8 size pan worked fine.
