1 cup cornmeal 1 T shortening 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup minus 2 T boiling water
Mix all ingredients. Using 1 tablespoon for each, shape in balls. Place on well-greased cookie sheets. With bottom of glass dipped in water flatten to 3-inch rounds. Bake in preheated 400º oven 25 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 18.
