1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 T. crushed garlic

2 - 16 oz. cans, Rosarita traditional refried beans
1- 15 oz. can, Stagg Chili (Steak House Reserve)
1- 8 oz. can. Ortega chilies, chopped
1- 16 oz. jar of chunky salsa
1 cup of cream cheese
2 cups Mexican blend shredded cheese
1 bunch chopped green onions
Salt and cilantro to taste

Large dollop of sour cream, additional chopped green onions, diced tomatoes, slices of avocado to dress dip as desired, according to taste, before serving.

Fry medium onion, crushed garlic and lean ground meat together until meat is done. In a 2-1/2 quart (or larger) microwaveable container, place drained meat mixture, and add refried beans, chili beans, Ortega chilies, salsa, cream cheese, shredded cheeses, chopped green onions, and salt and cilantro if desired. Mix thoroughly and then microwave for about 15 minutes on high, stirring occasionally.

Add preferred toppings just before serving.

This tastes better the more times it is reheated.

Cliff's and Nate's favorite appetizer, snack, or supper. Serve with Fritos or corn chips, spread on warmed tortillas, or just eat by the spoonful if no one is looking.
