Mom's Chili Recipe

1 1/2 lbs. chop meat (you can use ground turkey)
1 Large onion diced or (2 med.)
2 peppers diced
2 cans of dark kidney beans (family prefers butter
beans) DON'T DRAIN
1 can of tomato sauce 8 oz.
1 lg can of tomatoes (diced)
2 pkg. of CHILI-O SEASONING MI(can be found
by the gravy and seasoning mix section)

FOR TOPPINGS: shredded cheddar cheese,sour

Brown the ground beef or turkey in a large skillet.When brown drain.Add the onions and peppers and simmer till tender.

Stir in the tomatoes and tomato sauce and the two pkgs. of seasoning and the beans with the liquid from the cans.

Bring to a boil and then turn down heat and simmer for 10 minute.

Serve with cheese over top and sour cream if desired.
