Cake:
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups oil
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups chopped apples
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Glaze:
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 cup light rum
1/4 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs, oil and sugar. Blend well. Add flour, salt and soda to egg mixture. Add vanilla, apples and nuts. Bake in a tube pan at 325 for 1 hour or until done.

Glaze:
Combine ingredients and boil for 3 minutes. While the cake is hot, pour glaze over cake.
