1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
4 cups flour plus four tablespoons
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
1teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cream sugar, oil and butter until fluffy, add eggs, beat
Mix dry ingredients separately
Add dry ingredients to creamy mixture
Form into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet
Flatten dough balls by dipping a glass in sugar
Sprinkle with colored sugar

Bake in 350º oven for 10 minutes. Cookies should be light in color.
