2 Lb pkg. hash brown potatoes (can use frozen hash browns)
2 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
2 c. grated cheese
1/2 onion (chopped)
2 cans cream of chicken soup
Top with grated cheese.

Topping: 1/2 cup margarine, 2 cups crushed corn flakes

Mix together sour cream,chicken soup, onion . Pour over hash browns or potatoes. Pour into buttered pan. Top with crushed corn flakes, margarine and grated cheese.
Bake in 11 x 13 buttered pan @ 350 45 to 60 minutes.

This dish is often referred to as "Funeral Potatoes". They serve this a lot at the luncheon after funerals.
