2 3/4 c. broken pretzels (about 3/4 of 10 oz. pkg. of pretzels)
1 c. margarine (melt and pour over pretzels)
4 - 3 oz. size cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 - 8 oz. cool whip topping, thawed
1 - 6 oz. strawberry jello
1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
2 c. water or pineapple juice (I use juice from pineapple)
1 pkg. frozen strawberries OR 2 c. fresh berries (fresh are better)

Put pretzels and margarine in a 9 X 13 (or bit larger) baking dish and bake 10 minutes at 400. Let cool.
Blend cream cheese and sugar. Spread over top of lukewarm pretzels. Spread whipped topping over cream cheese mixture and chill.
Dissolve jello in water or juice. Stir in strawberries and crushed pineapple. Put in refrigerator to thicken. When partially thickened, spread over whipped topping. Chill until set.
Serves 15 to 20.
