Ingredients: 3 c. flour, unsifted 2 c. sugar 6 tbsp. cocoa 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. vinegar (last ingredient added) 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. cold water 3/4 c. salad oil

Directions:Sift dry ingredients together, then mix in everything except vinegar. Mix vinegar in last by lightly folding it into the mixture and and then immediately put it into the oven that has been preheated to 350º and bake 40 min. |

Notes: *BLUE BOOK RECIPE This is a cake recipe given to me from one of my old teachers in 1971 when I was in a mid-western High School. This is probably the most simple and best tasting chocolate cake I have had. This cake goes great with the Speckart's Chocolate Frosting
