3 cups sifted Cake Flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter or Crisco
2 cups sugar
3 eggs plus 2 egg yolks, well beaten
1 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once; then measure. Add baking powder and salt. Sift together 3 times. Cream butter thoroughly, add sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy. Add (well beaten)eggs and beat well. Add flour, alternately with milk, a small amount at a time. Add vanilla. Bake in 3 greased 9" cake pans in a 375F oven for 20 minutes.
