Melt 1 cup margarine or butter
6 eggs
1 cup sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla or anise extract

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs and add cooled, melted butter and flavorings, then blend in dry ingredients. Make sure pizelle maker is properly heated. Use a tablespoon over the center of circle and press down until steam stops or light goes out . Remove cookie and stack on wax paper till cooled. Store in tin to keep crisp.

Aunt Josie's is similar recipe. To make chocolate add 1/2 cup cocoa, 1/2 c sugar, 1/2 tsp baking powder.
