Apple Strudel Cake Recipe

1 1/2c. flour
3tsp. baking powder
1/2c. sugar
1/2c. milk
1 egg, beaten
1tsp. cinnamon
1/4tsp. salt
1/4c. shortening
2-3 large apples, cut into large pieces

Mix all dry ingredients. Add apples to liquid(shortening, egg, and milk). Bake in a 350 oven for 45 minutes.
Crumbs for the top of the cake:
Mix 1/4 cup of flour, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 cup of butter until mixture resembles crumbs. Sprinkle on top of the cake before baking. Put into greased pan and bake 45 minutes as instructed above.
