8 oz. elbow macaroni
1 egg
8 oz. sharp cheese
1 c. milk
2 T. butter
breadcrumbs
3 slices of American cheese, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Boil macaroni until almost tender and drain.

Grease a casserole dish and add 1/2 of the macaroni. Add egg to 1 cup of milk and scramble. Pour 1/2 over macaroni. Cut up sharp cheese and add 1/2 to macaroni mixture. Stir just to mix. Repeat. Add butter in 1 T. increments.

Cover and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Add American cheese if desired and then breadcrumbs to top of macaroni. Bake uncovered for about 10 minutes.

Macaroni is ready when cheese is melted and breadcrumbs are lightly browned.
