2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup dates, chopped
1 cup nuts, chopped (I use pecans)
2 tbsp. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325. Mix together first 8 ingredients well, then add milk and fold into mixture. Bake in a greased 8 inch square oven proof dish for 20-30 minutes. (Check after 20 minutes). Serve cold in a stemmed sherbet glass or dessert bowl. Top with whipped cream.

I like to soak my dates in hot water (with a pinch of baking soda) or wine for a few minutes before adding to mix.
