Fresh Pot Roast
2 - 3 cloves or tsp. garlic
1 cup beef broth (optional)
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 -3 bay leaves
1 pkg Lipton mushroom and onion soup mix
Ĺ to 1 c. Marsala or red wine
Sliced mushrooms of your choice

Night before (if you have time): Rub meat with garlic, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Place in bag or container with 2-3 bay leaves and Ĺ cup to 1 cup Marsala or other red wine. Marinate overnight in fridge. Next day: Cook in covered Dutch oven with one cup beef broth, one package mushroom and onion Lipton soup mix, and sliced mushrooms. Add water to just cover top of meat.

Bake: 350 degrees for 45 minutes per pound.

Goes great served with real mashed potatoes and green peas. I have made this many, many times without marinating it over night and it is still terrific. Itís delicious.
