2 lb ground beef
2 16 oz can kidney beans rinsed and drained
2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes undrained
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
2 medium onions chopped
1 green pepper chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1/4 c chili powder
1 Tbsp and 1 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
Shredded cheese for garnish if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Transfer to slow cooker. Add the next nine ingredients. Cover and cook over low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4 hours.

For more heat add red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
