Ingredients:
1/2 cup white rice
1 cup water
2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 pound ground beef
1/2 onion diced
Italian seasoning
Garlic powder
6-8 green peppers
Salt and Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Fry your hamburger and onion until brown. At the same time cook your white rice. (bring white rice and water to a boil, cover, simmer for 20 min.) Cut the tops off of your green peppers and dig out the seeds and membranes. Add 1 can tomato sauce to the hamburger. Crush stewed tomatoes in your hands until they are nice and squished, add to hamburger. Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper to hamburger. Mix it all up well then add rice and mix well. Place the other 8 oz can tomato sauce in the bottom of your 9X13 casserole dish. I seasoned my tomato sauce that was in the dish too before adding my peppers. Take a spoon and fill each green pepper to the top and set into the casserole dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until a knife will gently slide into the green peppers. Take aluminum foil off and put mozzarella cheese on each green pepper. Put back in oven and put on your broiler just long enough to make them golden brown on top. Don't walk away from the oven!! I get sidetracked and then I've burnt something. There was lots of filling left over so I put mine in the sides to be scooped up with the peppers.
