1 c. rava (seminola)
1-1/2 to 2 c. sugar
10-12 cashew nuts, broken
15-20 raisins
4 T. ghee (clarified butter)
orange food (kesari) color ( a pinch)
saffron (a pinch)
optional: 3-4 cloves
Cardamom power for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Heat 1 T. of clarified butter in thick bottomed pan. Fry broken cashews and raisins (and optional cloves) and set aside. Add 1 T. clarified butter and fry rava to a light brown color. Set aside. Heat 3 c. water in the same plan, when water comes to boil add coloring and saffron. Add rava slowly, constantly stirring and mix well. Cook rava on medium heat. When fully cooked, add sugar and stir well. When sugar is finally dissolved, add remaining clarified butter. Keep stirring until rava starts leaving sides of the pan. Garnish with fried cashews and raisins and cardamom power.
