2 c. margarine
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. egg substitute
2 T. skim milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 T. anise seed (crushed)
5-6 cups flour
6 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp.. baking soda
1/4 - 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. cinnamon sugar ( 1/4 c. sugar + 1/2 tsp.cinn.)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in egg substitute, milk, vanilla, lemon extract and anise. Mix in dry ingredients. Add water and mix. Knead to desired consistency. Form into balls and roll out on floured board or counter top. Cut with cookie cutters. Sprinkle cookies with cinnamon sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, and bake 8-12 minutes at 375 degrees.
Note: May substitute brand or whiskey for the water.
