1 lb. fresh green beans (more depending on how many servings you want)
1-2 bacon strips, cut in half
1 tsp. kosher salt

Directions:
Directions:
Trim ends of green beans and cut in half, if desired. Put beans in saucepan, cover with water. Add uncooked bacon and salt. Cook for 30 minutes to 1 hr. Drain beans. Discard bacon and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Very simple recipe but has good flavor and is a good side (if you like soft green beans). CMB
