Use spare ribs or country ribs
Season ribs with salt, pepper and Papa said to add some marjoram

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the ribs on top of the stove in bacon fat
Place ribs in a crock pot
Add sauerkraut. Mix in diced onion, caraway seed and a chopped, small apple
Cook until ribs are falling off the bone, at least a few hours
Serve with mashed potatoes
