½ c. self-rising corn meal 1 ½ c. self-rising flour 1 T. sugar 3 eggs 2 c.milk ½ c. shortening
Preheat oven to 425. Put shortening in a 9 inch iron skillet and set in hot oven until skillet heats up.In a bowl, mix dry ingredients together. Add milk and eggs. Stir until mixed well. Pour into skillet and bake for 20 minutes or until top is golden brown
