3 cups milk
1 cup light cream
1 T. flour
1 tsp salt
Dash hot pepper sauce
2 T. cold water
1 pint oysters with liquor
cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and cream. Combine flour, salt and pepper sauce, cold water; blend to smooth paste. Stir into oysters and thick liquor in heavy saucepan. Add butter. Simmer over very low heat, about 5 minutes or until edges just curl. Pour milk and cream into oyster mixture. Remove from heat; cover. Let stew stand 15 mintues to blend flavors. Reheat.
