2 sticks butter
1/2 cup Crisco shortening
3 cups sugar
5 well beaten eggs
3 cups Swans Down Cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup milk (I use whole milk)
1 tsp. each: coconut, rum, lemon and almond extract

Glaze ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. each: coconut, rum, almond & lemon extracts

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until fluffy and light.
Add well beaten eggs.
Combine flour and baking powder and add to mixture.
Add milk alternately with the 4 extracts.
Spoon into well greased and floured pan and bake @ 300-325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
When cake is done, leave in pan and pour some of the glaze over it.
Let it set for about 10 minutes, then pour remainder of the glaze over the cake after you turn it into your cake plate.
Bring all ingredients to a boil to melt sugar. Pour over cake while in pan and after you remove it from the pan.
