2 c. cream
4 egg yolks
2 1/2 T. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sifted light brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat cream in double boiler. Beat egg yolks, adding sugar gradually. Remove cream from heat and pour over egg yolk mixture, stirring continuously. Pour into 1 1/2 qt casserole. Place in pan of hot water. Bake at 325 about 45 or 50 minutes, or until set. When custard is set, sprinkle with brown sugar. Place under broiler for a few minutes. Refrigerate until very cold.
