Apple Cake Recipe

2 c flour
1 c brown sugar
1 c butter/margarine (softened not melted)
c oatmeal
dash salt

Mix and divide. Put half on bottom of 9 x 13 cake pan.

Cover with sliced apples.

Cook the following until shiny and thickened:
1 c sugar
1 c water
1 tbsp cornstarch
tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon

Pour over apples. Put the remaining crumbs on top.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until apples are done and golden brown.
