1 c flour
c butter or margarine
c sugar
2 egg yolks

Mix and pat in 9 x 13 pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350.

(Be sure to save the egg whites in a separate bowl. You will need them for the meringue)

2 egg yolks 5 tbsp flour
1 c sugar 3 c rhubarb

Beat yolks; add sugar and flour mixed. Fold in rhubarb. Pour over baked crust. Bake at 350 until custard is set, about 45 minutes (could take up to one hour).

4 egg whites
cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine all ingredients. Beat until stiff. Spread over torte. Put back in oven to brown the meringue.
