1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
1 stick butter, at room temperature
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups quick oats
1 1/2 cups flour (sifted twice)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
(1) 6 oz. package butterscotch chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream, sugar, shortening and butter together. Beat eggs separately and mix in. Add vanilla and oats and mix well. Mix soda and salt with flour, and add to other mixture. Stir in butterscotch chips with spoon. Spoon into balls from teaspoon and drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 for 12-14 minutes.
