1 loaf French bread 2 to 2 1/2 lb. hamburger 1/2 diced green pepper Chopped onion 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 can water
Hollow bread and save insides. Brown hamburger with green pepper and onion. Salt and pepper to taste. Add soup, water, bread crumbs, and cheese if desired. Mix well. Simmer a few minutes. Fill bread with mixture. Place strips of cheese over the top. Warm in the oven until cheese is melted. Slice and serve.
