4 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 225
Beat egg whites until foamy with an electric mixer. Add vanilla and cream of tartar.
While continuing to beat add sugar 1 tbsp at a time. When the mixture stand in stiff peaks on the beater, it is ready for baking. Put on top of pies, bake for 5-7 minutes until brown.
1/2 tsp cinnamon may be added if desired.
