1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
6 T. cold unsalted butter
1 1/2 T. cold vegetable shortening
3 T. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients and butter and shortening in a food processor or in a mixing bowl. Pulse machine on and off or cut ingredients together by hand with two knives until it resembles large crumbs.
Add water and pulse or mix by hand with a fork until dough holds together. Flatten into a disk and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. It can freeze at this point. Roll out to fit pie plate.
