3 T. finely chopped red onion
1 cup mayonnaise

Directions:
Dissolve the packet of gelatin in the water. Microwave the cream cheese and soup just enough to soften the cream cheese. Add the dissolved gelatin to the soup and cheese. Stir in the celery, onion, mayo and crab. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Refrigerate for at least a couple of hours.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
From Cheryle Apple: I often times make it a day ahead of time. You can put it in a mold for attractive serving, but…I normally just put it in a bowl!! Wonderful with Ritz crackers or wheat thins. You can substitute the crab with shrimp and, if you care to go to the expense, you can use fresh crab. Canned crab does the trick though. Enjoy.
