"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
I lb or so of lean ground beef a small onion chopped mashed potatoes - you can use instant or make your own 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese seasoning of choice for meat - I use Tony Chachere's salt pepper butter
Pre-heat oven on 350 degrees. Saute onion in 2 T of butter until tender then add seasoned ground meat and brown - drain grease then pour into a casserole dish. Top with mashed potatoes then cover with cheese. Bake in oven for about 10 to 20 minutes until warmed through and cheese melts and becomes bubbly on top. You may want to put it under the broiler to crisp the cheese a little (warning - watch closely or it will burn!) Let sit a few minutes before serving!
Big Ricky asked me to submit this recipe! By the way my Thanksgiving Peas go wonderfully with this!
