1 lb. mild sausage
1 medium onion
1/2 medium green bell pepper
2 C. chopped celery
4 1/2 C. water
2 envelopes Lipton Chicken noodle mix
1 C. uncooked rice
1 whole boiled chicken; (de-boned)
1/4 C. almond strips

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage. Drain off fat, set sausage aside. Return 1 Tbsp. fat back into the pan. Add chopped onion,bell pepper, celery and cook slowly til it begins to soften. In meantime, bring water to a boil, add soup and turn off heat. Mix all ingredients well. Pour into 8x11" pyrex dish (do not use deep casserole dish). Distribute mixture carefully with a large fork. Bake at 350 for about 50 minutes, or just until moisture is absorbed.
