1 c corn meal
1 c white flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 c sugar
1 c buttermilk or sour milk
2 egg
1/2 c butter, melted (may substitute oil)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and add sugar. Add eggs and beat. Combine buttermilk and soda, and add to the above. Add cornmeal, flour, and slat, and stir into the above until just blended. Bake in a 8 inch square pan at 375 for 30 minutes.
