1/2c. shortening, sugar and molasses 2 eggs 1 3/4c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda and cinnamon 1 1/2tsp. ginger 1/2tsp. salt 3/4c. milk 1c. raisins
Cream shortening and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time. Add the molasses and mix well. Sift 1 1/4c. flour, baking soda, spices and salt. Add alternately with the milk to the creamed mixture. Sprinkle the raisins with the remaining 1/2 cup flour. Add to the batter. Put into muffin pans and bake at 350 º for 25 minutes.
