1/4 cup salad oil

4 (8-inch) flour tortillas

1/2 Lb ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

1 clove garlic, minced

1 (16oz) can refried beans

1/3 cup hot taco sauce

1/4 tsp salt

2 cups shredded Monterrey Jack cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in skillet. Fry 1 tortilla at a time, 30 seconds on each side. Place on paper towels to drain. Preheat oven to 350F.
Brown ground beef, onion and garlic. Stir in the beans, taco sauce and salt.
In 9 inch pie plate, place 1 tortilla, top with 1/4 of the beef mixture and 1/4 of the cheese. Repeat 3 times. Bake for 30 minutes.

I also add 1 small jar of mild salsa to the beef mixture to add color.
