Sauce: 1 medium onion chopped,2 small garlic cloves minced,1/4 cup dry white wine or dry sherry,1-1/2 tbsp. cornstarch, 2-3/4 milk(1/2 condensed and 1/2 water),1/2 to 3/4 grated Parmesan cheese,1/2 cup nonfat Parmesan cheese,1/2 cup sour cream,1/4 cup green onion chopped, 1tsp. worchestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard, 1/8 tsp. white pepper. salt to taste.

In nonstick sprayed pan, saute onion, garlic then add wine and cook 6-8 minutes. In a cup combine cornstarch with 1/4 cup milk stirring to mix well. stir in remaining 2-1/2 cups milk. Bring liquid in pan to a boil. Stir in cornstarch mixture, stirring until mixture thickens without sticking on bottom. Boil 1 minute stirring. reduce heat so that sauce does not boil. Stir in cheeses and sour cream. use wisk if needed. stir in green onion,worchestershire,mustard and pepper. Stir well. Add salt cook over low heat 2-3 minutes until flavors are blended. May add chicken and pour over pasta.
