3/4 c. butter or margarine
1 c. water
1 c. raisins, chopped
1 t. gr. cinnamon
1/2 t. gr. allspice
1/4 t. gr. cloves

4 eggs, separated
3 c. all purpose flour
1 T. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. baking soda
3/4 c. chopped pecans

Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 8-oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 t. vanilla extract
Pinch salt
4 c. confectioners' sugar

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and pecans; stir into spice mixture. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form; fold into the batter. Pour into two greased and floured 9" round cake pans.
