2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/3 cups whole wheat flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp. almond flavoring
4 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, butter, and eggs, mixing until well blended and fluffy. Add melted chocolate. Combine whole wheat flour and salt; add alternately with milk. Blend well. Stir in nuts and flavorings and pour into a 9x13 greased pan and bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until done. Cool and top with chocolate icing if desired.
