1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 med onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 large jar spaghetti sauce
9 uncooked lasagna noodles
1 16 oz. carton ricotta cheese
1 tsp. basil leaves
1 egg
1 lb. shredded mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese

Brown beef, onion, green pepper and garlic in large sauce pan. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder. Drain. Add spaghetti sauce and oregano. Simmer about 30 minutes. Mix ricotta cheese, egg and basil in small bowl. Lightly grease a 9 x 13 baking pan. Layer sauce, noodles and cheeses - make three layers ending with noodles, sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand covered 10 minutes. Remove foil carefully. Cut into squares and serve.
