17-18 large cucumbers, sliced 1/2c. salt 5c. vinegar and sugar 2 tbsp. mustard seed 1tsp. celery seed 1tsp. tumeric 1/4tsp. cloves(optional)
Put cucumbers in a large bowl and cover with water just to cover. Add salt and let sit overnight. Then drain and rinse. Combine the remainder of the ingredients in a large pot. Put on medium heat and add the cucumbers. Cook for 10-15 minutes. Put into hot sterilized jars.
