2 c. Sugar
1 3/4 c. Flour
1 c. real Cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
Pinch of Salt
2 Eggs
1 c. Milk
2/3 c. Real Butter (this is key ingredient)
2 tsp. Vanilla
1 c. Boiling Water
Icing:
1 stick, plus 1 tbsp. of Real Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/3 c. Milk
Add 2/3 c. Cocoa
3 c. Powdered Sugar

Cake: Combine all dry ingredients. Add Eggs, Milk and Vanilla, pour in boiling water - Batter will be thin. Beat on medium 2 minutes. Bake @ 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. Icing: Melt Butter, Vanilla and Milk in saucepan over low setting. Add Cocoa and Powdered Sugar, and mix well.

Everyone, I have had people get down on their knees and beg me to bring this cake into work after they had sampled it at other gatherings. Just be sure to use real butter and name brand cocoa. It is also very good with the dark, dark cocoa.
