4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. soft butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat at medium speed butter, sugar, egg until light and fluffy. At low speed, mix in milk and vanilla. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for several hours. Roll dough 1/4" thick and cut with cookie cutters. Place 1" apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until golden.
