"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

1 1/2 lb ground beef 1 c. chopped onion 1 c. green pepper 4 cloves of garlic 2 - 16 oz. can of diced tomatoes 2 - 16 oz. can of pinto beans or kidney beans 2 - 8 oz. can of tomato sauce 6 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. basil 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 4 tbsp. apple cider vinegar 4 tbsp. brown sugar
Brown hamburger with onion, pepper and garlic. Drain fat and stir in rest of ingredients. Bring to boil, reduce heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
I like to cook mine in the crock pot, brown hamburger and dump everything in, stir and let cook about 4 to 6 hours on low.
