1 cup sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1/3 c. water
1/4 c. butter
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3 quarts unseasoned popped corn

Directions:
Directions:
Put sugar, corn syrup, water, butter, salt in a sauce pan and cook stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking without stirring until syrup forms a brittle ball in cold water. (270).
Add vanilla, stir only enough to mix.
Place popped corn in a bowl large enough for mixing.
Pour the cooked syrup slowly over the popped corn and mix well.
Wet your hands slightly and shape corn into balls. Use only enough pressure to make the balls stick together.
Makes 12 medium sized balls
