2 C flour
2 C sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1 C water
1/2 cup shortening
4 T. cocoa
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs slightly beaten


Frosting:
1 stick butter
4 T. cocoa
6 T. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 dash salt
1 Cup crushed nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, sugar, salt. Put butter, water, shortening and cocoa in pan to boil. Mix into dry ingredients. Stir buttermilk and baking soda together, add to mixture and stir. Add vanilla and eggs and beat by hand. Pour into greased large cookie sheet pan and bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes.
Put all frosting ingredients in pan and bring to a boil. Cool and frost cake.
